Costa Rica
Around 2.3 million tourists visit Costa Rica annually, which is more than the Bahamas! Around 25% of the country is set aside for nature purposes, such as conservation, education, or as governmental protected area. This is even represented in the country's national emblem, which has three volcanoes and grassland.

April 22 - May 1
On April 22nd, the OWS 8th grade class will be leaving on their annual hallmark trip, this time to Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica, we will be immersed in the culture of the people that live there. One of these cultural aspects is the Costa Rican wildlife. There are many birds, plants, and animals that are endemic to Costa Rica, and we hope to experience and see many of them.
