Anatomy: The Strawberry Poison Dart Frog is 0.7 to 0.9 inches in length, and is fully a strawberry color, although it does have black eyes.
Diet: The frog eats mites and ants, and it's diet is what is responsible for it's poison. The frog get poison from species of formicine ants. These ants have pumiliotoxins, which the frogs then turn into poison.
Behavior: This frog is diurnal, and is commonly found in leaf litter. The males are territorial, while the females are much more sociable.
Habitat: This frog is found throughout Central America, and in Puerto Rico.
Facts: The Blue Jeans Poison Dart Frog is a morph of the Strawberry Poison Dart Frog, and is common in Costa Rica. We saw many of them in Costa Rica.
